Water infused with fruit, also known as detox water is a very popular in the wellness community due to its detoxification and hydrating benefits. Detox water can be made by adding fruits, vegetables, or herbs to water and letting the contents infuse for up to 12 hrs. The main reason detox water benefits the body is due to its ability to increase ones daily intake of water. On average majority of people are mildly dehydrated, which can manifest in different ways such as, tiredness, dry mouth, dry lips, dry hair, headaches, and decreased concentration. Detox water is a great substitute for soda, juice, or other surgery drinks, and many believe the enzymes inside fruit will help activate some of the vitamins and minerals contained in water. Since summer is approaching, drinking detox water or even detox tea, is a gentle yet effective way to increase water consumption and weight loss.

Tip: Detox water can be saved longer by removing the fruit after 4-12 hours of infusing. The water left behind can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
